This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, change jail status, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record.
Find the Right Washoe Office
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office operates the county adult detention facility and its current roster. Its contact lines are divided by task, so use the number that matches the request. Published office hours can change and should be confirmed before an in-person visit.

The WCSO Records Section lists Monday through Thursday hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays, with a noon to 1 p.m. closure. The official GovQA portal accepts online public and case requests and provides status tracking. Written requests remain available.
- For a booking record, mugshot policy, record request, warrant route, or current jail search, begin with the Washoe County arrest hub.
- For a person who may have just entered jail, use the official current roster and detention information line; use the same-day or multi-day page only for its stated time window.
- For release timing or custody alerts, use the roster for present status and Nevada SAVE for notifications. The former Nevada VINE service has retired.
- For a Reno Police or Sparks Police incident report or case photo, contact that city agency. Booking at the county jail does not transfer ownership of every police record to WCSO.
- For a person serving a Nevada state-prison sentence, use the Nevada Department of Corrections Offender Search or NDOC Records and Information.
- For federal prison custody, use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
Choose the source by custody state. A released person may no longer appear in WCSO's current roster even though an agency record and court case remain. The Nevada Department of Corrections search covers a different state-prison population, and federal systems are separate from Washoe County. Charges shown at booking are accusations. The court disposition is the source for the later result.
